About Tilaa
We believe that server hosting should be simple, fast and transparent. Based on this perspective, we started to develop our own low-threshold platform in late 2008. After a year of programming, we welcomed Tilaa’s first customers in 2009.
Our mission
We strongly believe that users should be able to perform the administrative tasks for their ICT platform independently, without having to consult a helpdesk. If you still need our help, we will assist you personally. You are more than just a number to us.
How we work
Tilaa is fully independent and self-supporting. We are not dependent on external parties to develop new functionality. By using open source software as much as possible and writing our own code, we can quickly respond to new developments in the market.
We do our best to be good open source citizens by sharing our code and bug fixes as much we can. You may even find us on a mailing list. Find out more about what we are doing on our blog.
About our team
Ruben
Ruben is Tilaa’s virtualization and systems engineer. He loves writing python code and fixing bugs in open source software. That may be one of the reasons why he is now the Fedora maintainer. In his free time, Ruben creates DJ mixes for Streamingbeats.com.
Gerben
Gerben is responsible for the sales and marketing department at Tilaa, and serves as your primary contact person for support. Weather permitting, you will find him on his boat in the Amsterdam canals, or on his motorcycle (hopefully not in the Amsterdam canals).
Dennis
Dennis is Tilaa’s lead web developer. He also works on the virtualization and systems stack. In his free time, he helps the GNOME and Ubuntu bug squads with bug triage, because he still believes that next year will be the year of Linux on the desktop. He also runs the news tracker TheMirror.
